Yogananda's
Spiritual Mission 12 minutes
In this 12 minute talk, Kriyananda discusses many important
aspects of Yogananda's mission, including:
- The right
relationship between an individual and a spiritual organization
- Yogananda's
real message
- Why Yogananda
chose the name 'self-realization' for his teaching
- "He
(Yogananda) came to bring a message, and that message is to you
individually. It is not to an organization- it is to you , as
you are, in your relation to God."
- "Master
didn't come to bring a new Catholic Church into the world....He
came to bring the tools whereby individuals could become saints
and find God."
This talk was
given at the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Yogananda's
birth in 1993. Kriyananda was joined by several other direct disciples
of Yogananda, including Roy Davis, Peggy Dietz, Hare Krishna Ghosh,
